The squad that ensured their rise from League One will need bolstering, so expect a good amount of transfer business at Fratton Park when the summer window opens later this summer.

Now, reports have emerged regarding potential interest in an early target.

The News states that Portsmouth are keen on Crystal Palace midfiielder Jadan Raymond, who was on the club’s radar in January. A deal didn’t come to fruition then, but Pompey remain interested and could look to bring him south this summer.

Raymond, 20, is a versatile prospect. He can operate in the middle of the park as an attacking, central or defensive midfielder as well as out on the wings.

He’s managed two goals and two assists in 11 PL2 games this season and has been involved in Crystal Palace’s senior squad on two occasions.
