Report: Maple Leafs top star in tears as injury get worse
Maple Leafs’ Nylander misses second straight playoff game with undisclosed injury
Despite some promising developments the past few days, Game 2 began Monday for the Maple Leafs without 98-point right-winger William Nylander.
Leaving the door open during the day that Nylander could make it back from an undisclosed injury, head coach Sheldon Keefe ended up sticking with the same lineup. Nylander was in the morning skate, but not a full participant in either line rushes or the first power play. He mostly did some light drills with fellow Game 1 scratch Noah Gregor.
