The playmaker was linked with Wednesday in January, but a move to Hillsborough did not happen. Brentford instead approved a loan move to Portsmouth, who secured promotion to the Championship with Peart-Harris on their roster.

Reports of interest from South Yorkshire have revived, with Football Insider suggesting the Owls want to sign him on loan. Swansea and Oxford are also reportedly interested in the 21-year-old.

All three are said to have made enquiries regarding the attacking midfielder, who has been on Brentford’s books since 2021. Prior to joining the Bees, he was nurtured within Chelsea’s academy and picked up youth caps for England.

Brentford first leased Peart-Harris to Forest Green Rovers, where he remained throughout the 2022/23 season. He returned to Brentford before being loaned out to Portsmouth for a few minutes.

Pompey used Peart-Harris in a variety of roles, capitalizing on his versatility during the course of his 12 appearances. He scored twice while on loan with Portsmouth, helping them win League One.

Wednesday have been active in the transfer market recently, moving rapidly to strengthen Danny Rohl’s squad. Yan Valery and Max Lowe have been brought in as defenders, while Ben Hamer has been hired to give experience to the goalkeeping squad.

Svante Ingelsson has joined from German club Hansa Rostock, Jamal Lowe has come from AFC Bournemouth, and the Owls have also signed Olaf Kobacki from Arka Gdynia.
