In his second AHL season, Blümel led Texas in goals (31) and was second in points (31-31—62) over 72 regular-season games. In seven Calder Cup Playoff games, Blümel led the club in goals (5), was second in points (5-4—9), and fifth in assists (4).

Blümel was one of three Texas players (together with Mavrik Bourque and Logan Stankoven) selected to represent the Central Division at the 2024 AHL All-Star Classic, which will be held in San Jose, California on February 4-5. It was Blümel’s first AHL All-Star Classic appearance.

Blümel, a product of Tabor, Czechia, has 106 points (50-56-106) in 130 career AHL regular-season games, all with Texas. He has also scored 10 points (5-5—10) in 13 Calder Cup Playoff games with Texas.

Originally selected by Edmonton in the fourth round (100th overall) of the 2019 NHL Draft, Blümel signed a two-year entry-level contract with Dallas on June 6, 2022. He has one goal (1-0—1) in six career NHL regular-season games, all with Dallas.

Pettersen, 24, divided the 2023-24 AHL regular season between the Calgary Wranglers and the Texas Stars, scoring 30 points (7-23—30) in 54 games before being traded to Dallas on March 7. Pettersen was Calgary’s second-highest assist (23) and fourth-highest point scorer when the deal occurred. After entering the Stars organization, Pettersen scored eight points (4-4-8) in 12 regular-season games and five points (2-3-5) in seven Calder Cup Playoff games. He tied for fourth on the team with two goals and finished sixth with five points in the playoffs.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound forward has played 215 AHL games with Texas and the Stockton/Calgary club, scoring 122 points (49-73-122). Pettersen was selected by Calgary in the sixth round (167th overall) in the 2018 NHL Draft and has 10 points (4-6—10) in 23 Calder Cup Playoff games.
