Breaking: Leeds United Closing In On Deal To Sign 21 Year Old Striker.

Adam Hlozek joins Leverkusen - So what does that mean for Schick's future? | Transfermarkt

According to the Sunday Mirror (print edition, page 73), the Whites are tracking Adam Hlozek, who is expected to depart Bayern Leverkusen this summer.

Leeds failed to gain promotion to the Premier League last season, and as a result, they face a challenging summer window. The Whites may have to sell one or two players to comply with the EFL’s financial restrictions, which could influence their future transfer policy.

Patrick Bamford and Joe Piroe remain two top strikers for Leeds, but Daniel Farke could look to add one more quality striker as they fight again to secure an automatic promotion.

Hlozek is a talented striker who will represent the Czech Republic’s senior team in the Euro 2024 Championships in Germany.

He has already earned 32 caps for his country at such a young age, demonstrating his talent.

Leverkusen’s Xabi Alonso has a plethora of attacking alternatives, so Hlozek has struggled to find regular playing time. Last season, he managed seven goals and five assists in all competitions for the German giants.

He is regarded as a “cunning” goal scorer and could be available for roughly £12 million. For a player of his caliber, signing him at that price (or somewhat lower) could be a steal, and Leeds must make every effort to get him.

The Whites may face competition from West Ham, who are also trying to recruit a new striker. If the Hammers look elsewhere, Leeds must get him to Elland Road, as he is a worthwhile gamble.

Crysencio Summerville, Archie Gray, and Wilfried Gnonto have all been connected with Elland Road this summer, and if they leave, Leeds will face a major struggle in replacing their vacancies.
