SB Reacts: Major Matchups, Role Players, and Forecasts for Round Two

We finally have results from our Monday poll about the Dallas Mavericks vs. Oklahoma City Thunder game. Fans around the country have mixed feelings about the Mavericks and the Thunder, or at least they did before game one, when this survey was conducted.

Given that Dallas is the fifth seed and the Thunder are the first seed, a slight majority of fans nationwide believe the Thunder will win this series.

Which of the Mavericks’ two star matchups would be more crucial to the series? I asked our poll participants.

Lu Dort’s matchup against Luka was winning before the series began, and after one game, it is still tracking, especially if Luka is indeed as injured as he appeared.

Dallas is in need of one role player to step up because Maxi Kleber is injured.

Dante Exum needs a big series, Mavericks supporters responded, garnering over half of the vote. Tim Hardaway and Josh Green shared the majority of the remaining votes. Exum should have another opportunity on Thursday night as he only played three non-garbage time minutes on Tuesday. Josh Green had a really strong first game.

In the final query, viewers were asked to forecast the series.

Over half of Dallas supporters predicted that Dallas would win the series in six games, while the majority thought the Mavericks would win. With just three games left, that will be difficult.
