Breaking: Arizona Cardinals acquire a one-year deal from a linebacker(Markus Bailey)

With the addition of former Cincinnati Bengals linebacker and special teams ace Markus Bailey, the Arizona Cardinals have strengthened their special teams unit.

The linebacker Markus Bailey has been signed by the Arizona Cardinals Football Club to a one-year contract. The signing was done today in Tempe, Arizona at the Dignity Health Arizona Cardinals Training Center.

Bailey (6-1, 235) spent the previous four seasons (2020–23) with Cincinnati, playing 60 games (four starts) and recording 20 special teams tackles, four passes defensed, a half sack, and 53 tackles overall. Bailey participated in every game during the previous season, and he led the Bengals with 309 special teams snaps. In 2020, Purdue product Bailey, then 27 years old, was selected by Cincinnati in the seventh round (215th overall) of the NFL Draft. In addition, he played in seven Bengals playoff games and recorded three defensive and five special teams tackles.
