How Rotherham United got to Wembley in 500 words - News - Shrewsbury Town

In addition to the outstanding amount already raised via the sale of 100 replica warm-up shirts, Rotherham United would like to express its sincere gratitude to all of our supporters who contributed to the additional £1,739 in fundraising. The proceeds from this fundraiser will be donated to the Rotherham Hospice.

Supporters could bid on warm-up shirts that had been worn and personally autographed by celebrities including Viktor Johansson, Lee Peltier, Jordan Hugill, Sam Nombe, and more; MatchWornShirt.com’s auction revenues went to the Rotherham Hospice.

By the time it was all over, the four named above had raised the most money—Viktor’s jersey alone brought in £321! Hugill, Nombe, and Peltier all raised £167 apiece, and jerseys worn by Ollie Rathbone, Cam Humphreys, and Hakeem Odoffin also didn’t fare too badly.

The shirts, which were worn before Steve Evans’ return to AESSEAL New York Stadium for his match versus Birmingham City, will now be packaged and sent to the individual auction winners.

The Millers also want to officially thank their official trainingwear sponsors, Guardian Electrical Compliance, and their Managing Director, Richard Roebuck, for their ongoing support of charitable causes. With their permission, we were able to replace their branding with the Rotherham Hospice logo.

Additional gratitude must also be extended to our six “Diamond Partners,” who generously committed a sizeable financial investment to enable the club’s uniforms to bear the Rotherham Hospice insignia as the primary sponsor for the season, as well as the folks at MatchWornShirt, who made the selling process easier.
