The Jacksonville Jaguars and the Patriots have reportedly agreed to trade Mac Jones.

It is said that the Mac Jones period in New England is now finished. The Patriots have agreed to trade the quarterback to the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to many sources.

First to report that the two sides are wrapping up a deal that can’t go official until the start of the new league year on Wednesday is ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Schefter claims that the parties had been talking about trading Jones—who was selected No. 15 overall in the 2021 draft—for a sixth-round selection.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, a deal has been reached. Four clubs were in trade talks with the Patriots, according to Rapoport.

Jones, a Jacksonville native, will be Trevor Lawrence’s backup quarterback for the Jaguars.
