Breaking: Raiders Suggested to Trade for Former First-Round QB…

The quarterback position is open for the Las Vegas Raiders. They have alternatives, but they haven’t decided how to locate the quarterback they wish to add.

The Las Vegas Raiders have options for quarterbacks to add to their roster this offseason.

The quarterback position will be competitive for the starting spot in the upcoming season, according to the Las Vegas Raiders. This offseason, quarterback Aidan O’Connell, the current starter, will face an unidentified opponent.

Sam Penix of Fan Sided proposes that the Raiders make a trade for a quarterback who was just selected in the first round of the NFL Draft.

To be clear, we concur.

“What was supposed to happen in 2023 was Aaron Rodgers would lead the [New York] Jets deep into the playoffs while Zach Wilson sat and learned behind one of the greatest of all time,” Penix stated.

“Instead, Rodgers went down on his first series, and the Jets went back and forth between Wilson and others, to the point where New York was forced to turn back to Wilson late in the year after benching him, and Wilson didn’t want to start because of how the team had treated him.”

“It’s safe to say that the relati

onship between the two sides is extremely strained and that Wilson will likely be elsewhere in 2024.”

Penix thinks that Wilson would be the ideal addition to the Raiders’ quarterback competition this offseason.

“The Raiders need more competition in the QB room and should be interested in taking swings at the position,” Penix stated. Wilson was the second overall choice for a reason, but considering his circumstances and subpar play over his first three years, he should go for a very low price. To date, he has passed for 6,293 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 25 interceptions in his 12-21 career as a starter.”

“He hasn’t shown it with any semblance of consistency, but Wilson is a very talented player with the arm strength to make any throw, the ability to throw off-platform and in different arm slots, and good mobility.”

“There have been times w ChiefsĀ hen it seemed like he was starting to get things together, such in Week 4 when the Jets almost defeated theand in Week 14 when they thrashed the Houston Texans. At a $5.4 million salary, a late Day 3 choice to take a chance on him is the kind of play that offers very little risk in exchange for the potential for a large payout.”
