Washington edge Bralen Trice on Texas: 'I want to go out there and smack them' - Burnt Orange Nation

On Wednesday, at the 2024 NFL Combine in Indianapolis, Indiana, the media had the chance to interview linebackers and defensive linemen invited to participate at the combine. Linebacker Bralen Trcie from the University of Washington was one of the many linebackers who had the opportunity to interact with the media on Wednesday.

Trice spent three collegiate seasons with the Washington Huskies playing 40 collegiate games finishing with 101 tackles, 63 solos, and 18 sacks. In his junior and last season with the Huskies, he played 15 games, ending with 49 tackles, 30 solos, and seven sacks. He also finished with a Pro Football Focus defensive grade of 88.1, a run defense grade of 72.1, and a tackling grade of 49.0. As a linebacker, Trice is 6’4 and weighs 273 pounds.

Trice mentioned how he met with the Raiders this NFL Combine and briefly shared how the meeting went with me.

“I thought it was a great meeting for sure. They gave me many tips on my game and reminded me to focus on what I can do best: the mind game and mind abilities. That’s a good reminder to have at this level; you get to focus on trying to do all these different things and being the player you want to be. But it comes down to locking in as yourself, grinding on who you are, and improving on who you are, so that’s all that matters.”

Trice also had the chance to talk about head coach Antonio Pierce with me.

“I think he is an awesome coach. I have a history with him as he was recruiting me a long time ago at ASU. I know him a little, and it was awesome talking with him and the guys, great coaches.”

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick.
