Tar Heel Fire/Rescue Stations 57 & 65, in addition to Bladen County EMS, were called to a single-vehicle incident at NC 87 & NC 20 at 02:07 this morning. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Cape Fear Valley Air 3, Bladen County EMS, Bladen County Sheriff’s Office, and Bladen County Communications are all appreciated for their help this morning, according to Tar Heel Fire/Rescue.

Junior Jasper Johnson of Link Academy (Mo.), a teammate of 2024 UNC basketball signee James Brown and a lifelong Tar Heel supporter, hasn’t officially eliminated any of the top 10 suitors he announced in late January. However, through his scheduled visits thus far, the 6-foot-4, 170-pound guard has made suggestions about possible top contenders.

Johnson visited UNC earlier this month. He is a five-star talent who is ranked No. 12 overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite. The Tar Heels’ home victory over their bitter foe Duke was the occasion for the official visit.

In addition, he has visited West Virginia, Kentucky, Auburn, Missouri, and most recently, Kentucky.

Furthermore, as per a report published on Friday morning by Joe Tipton of On3, Johnson has scheduled his sixth formal visit in his recruitment process. The first weekend in March, he will travel to Baylor.

Of the ten schools he has ranked, Louisville, Alabama, Southern California, and Kansas are the only ones without a visit booked by him.

Johnson has stated that his intention is to stay in 2025, at least for the time being, however he hasn’t completely ruled out the prospect of moving to 2024.

He is joined on the UNC basketball staff’s offer sheet by eight other players in his class, all of them are five-star prospects. None have ruled out the Tar Heels or pledged to play for them.
