“Deion Sanders and Colorado are moving on from Bishop Thomas,” Buffs Beat reported.

Why was Bishop Thomas dismissed?

The defensive lineman was dismissed from the program after being suspended indefinitely for violating team rules, according to sources. This was included in the initial Buffs Beat report.

“While no official announcement was made by CU, a final show credit in Amazon Prime’s docuseries ‘Coach Prime’ said Thomas was suspended and his status for next season was “still being evaluated” by Deion Sanders and his staff.”

Colorado had a disappointing 4-8 season, despite showing promise early on with big wins over TCU and Nebraska. They ended up losing eight of their final 10 games.

The Buffaloes will aim to make significant improvements during the 2024 season, albeit without Thomas as part of their roster moving forward.

Bishop’s suspension was first reported in January, although the exact nature of events which led to it are unclear at this juncture.

He had original been part of Florida State’s program, but he transferred to Colorado at the beginning of the 2023 season in the search for more playing time on the field.

n nine games with the Buffaloes before his suspension, Thomas was able to record six tackles in total, including two for a loss of yardage.

What’s next for the player is unclear, especially with him having moved on from two college programs for one reason or another.

Deion Sanders had to make a tough choice in order to let go of a Colorado player.

Tar’Varish Dawson says he’s no longer with Deion Sanders and Colorado. The wide receiver was dismissed from the program after dealing with a personal matter last week.

An original four-star from Auburn, Dawson came to Boulder as Coach Prime original transfer portal class last year. He was a highly-touted athlete coming out of Sanders’ hometown of Fort Myers and ranked as a consensus top 50 recruit with Second-Team All-Florida honors. His coach at Lehigh Senior was current Colorado Director of Player Development James Chaney.
