|Michigan football makes top 10 for 2025 4-star wide receiver
Under new head coach Sherrone Moore, Michigan football is trying to make a big impression in recruiting, and it seems the Wolverines are getting close. Since Moore was named the headman a month ago, a few recruits have expressed interest in Ann Arbor, but he has not received any pledges.
One such prospect is four-star wide receiver Taz Williams Jr., a 2025 Red Oak (Texas) prospect who is 185 pounds and stands six feet tall. All of the great programs in college football have offered him scholarships, but Michigan football was the team that made the cut when it came time to reveal his top 10.
But considering some of his other competitors, it will undoubtedly be an uphill road. Among his other top ten were Alabama, Ohio State, Texas, Penn State, Texas A&M, Florida State, Georgia Tech, SMU, and Baylor.
Williams is ranked highest by Rivals, where he is ranked as the nation’s No. 21 wide receiver and No. 115 player overall, regardless of position.
To type those words seems strange. The man who has spent decades at the core of the NFL world is stepping down.

At the Combine this year, the NFL will visit Indianapolis on Tuesday to meet with the top prospects selected in this year’s draft. Teams will learn important details about players throughout the week, and draft boards will begin to take shape. There will be new draft favorites. Others’ draft stock will decrease.
Let’s take a moment to evaluate the current situation with a pre-Combine mock draft, though, as we have no idea how things will evolve during the Combine just yet.

We’ve already written extensively about Williams. Check out the coverage here if you haven’t already. In other words, Williams is widely regarded as a practically flawless quarterback prospect. GM Ryan Poles may find it difficult to turn down the chance, regardless of his opinion of Justin Fields.
