According to reports, Super Bowl-winning head coach Andy Reid will start talks with the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium on a new deal that is probably going to set a record.

With the Chiefs last month, Reid orchestrated his third Super Bowl victory. The team defeated the San Francisco 49ers 25–22 in overtime, making it three straight championships in five seasons.

Following this most recent triumph, 65-year-old Reid stated that he has no intention of hanging up his headset just yet. NFL Network reports that he will start contract negotiations “in the coming weeks.”

After the Chiefs won Super Bowl LIV in 2020, Reid signed a six-year agreement with the team. However, he can anticipate signing one of the highest-paying head coaching contracts in league history after winning two more rings.

Contrary to player contracts, which are usually public knowledge, Reid is reportedly paid less than the $15 million that the highest-paid coaches in the league currently receive.
