After just one season in charge, Houston Texans coach DeMeco Ryans was proud of his team’s accomplishments. He transformed a team that had only managed three victories the previous season, sending them to the divisional round of the playoffs and winning their first AFC South championship since 2019. In recent seasons, Henry’s abilities to receive screens have given his game a new depth. Allusions to athletes such as Chris Ivory and Steven Jackson are unfounded. Whether it’s age or total carries, Henry hasn’t yet reached the proverbial wall, as shown by his outstanding 3.32 yards after contact per attempt in 2023. For a few more seasons, Henry is capable of dominating defenses and scoring double-digit touchdowns, even though he might not generate as many spectacular plays in the future.
