Nick Saban brought national championships, stability, and consistency through 17 seasons as Alabama’s head football coach.

Kalen DeBoer is at the Crimson Tide’s program now from Washington. People want to see if he can carry out the excellence, dominance, and culture that Saban started. Some are panicking at the thought of DeBoer not being able to continue the success; however, a current Tide linebacker feels the dynasty for Alabama is ‘not stopping’ under DeBoer.

“Everybody knows the mission,” Koht said in Tuesday’s airing of The Bama Standard. “The ultimate goal is to be a champion and win championships, and everyone that’s here is excited to be here. They acknowledge that they play for the University of Alabama, which is one of the biggest legacies in college football. I feel like everybody is going to carry out their actions and execute.”

The former Alabama head football coach has been perfecting his golf game and accepted an analyst position at ESPN. He announced his retirement from coaching in January, but Saban is taking in a Crimson Tide men’s basketball game at Coleman Coliseum. Charlie Potter of On3 Sports and Mike Rodak of 247Sports captured photos of Saban spotted at Saturday’s game against Texas A&M.

Sabb is a former four-star recruit and IMG Academy product.

The rising junior played in 14 games as a sophomore during the 2023 football season and started in five. He finished the season with 28 total tackles and two interceptions. One of his best games of the season came in the National Championship against Washington when he had 6 tackles and two pass breakups.

An addition to the Crimson Tide’s secondary is something the Tide would most likely welcome after losing multiple starters and depth after Nick Saban retired.

Sabb was recruited by Alabama when he was a recruit and Saban was the Tide’s head coach. He was recruited by the Tide’s general manager Courtney Morgan when Morgan was at Michigan.

During his junior year at Carrollton High School, he totaled 1,121 yards receiving and 13 touchdowns on 64 catches, making him an outstanding playmaking target at his position. The 215-pound, 6-foot-5 player took part in the Crimson Tide’s practices leading up to their Rose Bowl matchup with Michigan. During the recruiting cycle, Odom selected Alabama over Georgia, and he already has a locker room for spring football.
