The 49ers will have nearly a clean bill of health when they face the Packers in the divisional playoff round.

The San Francisco 49ers rarely have a clean bill of health.

However, their injury report for their divisional playoff clash against the Green Bay Packers indicates that they will be totally fit. With the exception of one player who was ruled out.

Clelin Ferrell, a defensive lineman, will be inactive against the Packers on Saturday because of a knee ailment. He suffered the injury during the regular season finale against the Los Angeles Rams. If the 49ers advance, he may be able to return. For the time being, he will not be present. Ferrell has been an important rotational player on defense, but his absence is not particularly significant.

The only other player with an injury designation versus the Packers is linebacker Dre Greenlaw. He’s been nursing Achilles tendonitis for the past week, but it’s not serious. His name appears only on the injury report because he missed practice, which was always done as a precaution to keep him as fresh as possible. So the 49ers are as healthy as they can be and have been all season. Even Arik Armstead is returning after missing the last month’s games.

In fact, the 49ers are getting reinforcements for this game. George Odum, a safety and important special teams player, is being activated from the injured reserve list. All hands on deck for the 49ers’ postseason push back to the Super Bowl. For the time being, their health will not serve as an excuse or deterrent to their success.
