Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ‘could be in trouble’ as they face major setback in 2025

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex may be on the brink of another commercial disaster, according to some experts.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will want to kick off their year free of the mishaps that wreaked havoc on their lives in 2023. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex saw their Spotify deal axed, after Meghan released a meagre 12 episodes and was branded “untalented” by a leading Hollywood agent.

Now, fears are growing that the pair’s Netflix deal could soon be put through the shredder as their output to date has failed to make a splash. Despite their documentary series being one of the most-watched factual shows on the streaming platform in 2022, the Montecito-based couple had a less than impactful last 12 months.

Their modest output wasn’t missed during the recent Golden Globes awards ceremony in Beverly Hills, as host Jo Koy took the opportunity to scold the ex-royal duo.

The stand-up quipped in front of the great and the good of Hollywood: “It turns out Harry and Meghan Markle were still getting paid millions of dollars for doing absolutely nothing – and that’s just by Netflix”.

Now, if that wasn’t enough, the California couple’s Netflix deal may soon be a thing of the past. Leading royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told The Sun that Harry and Meghan’s Netflix contract may soon be scrapped or simply not renewed in 2025 if they don’t start churning out money-spinning content.

He told the publication: “If you simply trash your family, which is the only time it does seem to mean that you get megabucks, and do nothing else, then you must expect people not to take you seriously.

“If they lost that [their Netflix deal], they really would be losers in every sense”.
