Alabama WR in transfer portal announces commitment to Tulane

Shazz Preston announced on Monday that he plans to transfer from Alabama to Tulane.

Preston, a 6-foot, 202-pound receiver, spent two years with the Crimson Tide, during which he played 36 total offensive snaps over six games while also contributing on special teams.

The Louisiana native was part of the Crimson Tide’s top-ranked 2022 recruiting class. He was considered a 4-star recruit and the No. 56 overall prospect in the 2022 class, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Preston first entered the transfer portal on Jan. 3, after Alabama’s loss to Michigan in the College Football Playoff national semifinals at the Rose Bowl. He is one of 22 Alabama players who have entered the transfer portal since Dec. 4, when the early transfer window opened.
