Ohio State quarterback target is now available

Ohio State football’s top quarterback target returns to the market after decommitment: Buckeye Recruiting
COLUMBUS, Ohio — As Ohio State continues to look for a quarterback in 2026, a key recruiting prospect has resurfaced.

Tavien St. Clair, the Buckeyes’ quarterback in 2025, has been adamant about his decision for more than a year already. Even though nothing is official yet, California five-star Brady Edmunds is clearly leaning toward Columbus for the 2027 season. However, the fate of the 2026 class remains uncertain.

That is becoming a more pressing issue with each passing day. However, Tennessee five-star Jared Curtis’ recent choice provides the door to at least one dramatic final answer.

The nation’s No. 6 athlete and top quarterback selected the Bulldogs in March, just after Ryan Ryan announced coaching changes at OSU. Among them was the decision to break ways with Corey Dennis after four years as quarterback coach. Dennis oversaw the room, but his most essential position was as a recruiter, frequently building ties with the nation’s best quarterbacks, even if Day’s reputation piqued their interest in the first place.
